DAY 1 – ASCENT & CAMPING

Begin the 4x4 journey along a private road toward Acatenango Volcano.

Stop at the checkpoint to sign the liability waiver.

Stop at a scenic viewpoint at 2,500 meters for photos.

Continue by 4x4 vehicle to approximately 3,500 meters.

Begin a 2 km hike to the base camp (approximately 45 minutes).
